What inspires you with the work you do to keep going daily? As hard it gets sometimes there is something that keeps you going. For me, I think it’s obviously few things. The women farmers we work with in Africa and to help in the little ways I can to advance the continent. Yes it’s cliche, and far fetched, but if we all do the little we can, in our small circles or pockets of this world, we will all have a better one.
I also love sharing Africa’s culture with the rest of the world. Particularly, through healthy food that are traditionally used in Africa as healing foods. What fascinates me is every email we receive from customers that tell us how our red palm has helped lowered their cholesterol. Or the story of Benjemen Chevez, who was going to get his leg amputated by his doctor due to blood clots of the thrombosis. After taking red palm oil for three months and changing his diet, Banjamen’s doctor didn’t feel the need to amputated his leg any longer. He called us and said “red palm oil has saved my leg”. And many more stories that people share such as the one above (swipe left) for screenshot from a comment on one of our YouTube videos. These are the reasons why we continue to do what we do at Juka’s Organic Co. Bring in foods that are indigenous to the continent of Africa to heal people while improving and helping the women in villages sustain a decent livelihood.
