It’s wellness Wednesday and of curse it’s always a pleasure to share our favorite cooking oil from Africa with everyone! Wait, I never implied any one had high cholesterol lol, but the look on his face made me guilty . And to also talk about the importance of adding red palm oil and other healthy cooking oils to your diet.

Red palm is used daily in Africa by many house holds. The earthy taste with the unique aroma gives food and extra layer of flavor. It also has lots of antioxidants and vitamins E. Red palm is actually one of the only oils that is accredited with all the families of vitamins E; tocopherol and tocotrienol. Adding vitamin E to your diet helps boost your immune system and it has been known to prevent certain cancers. The redness in red palm oil comes from beta-carotene, which when consumed, the body turns it into Vitamin-A (retinol). Beta carotene is an antioxidant and this is particularly also known for killing free radicles in the body.

So how can you use red palm oil since it’s so healthy?
